Piped Water Systems Construction

We plan, design, and build complete piped water distribution networks for commercial agricultural estates, housing developments, institutions, and municipal communities across Uganda. Technical teams combine civil engineering expertise with modern hydraulic design to deliver reliable, long-term water distribution from groundwater and surface water sources.

Hydraulic Network Design & Layout Mapping

Engineers calculate water demand, pressure requirements, and flow dynamics to design efficient distribution networks. Topographical surveys and layout mapping ensure optimal pipe sizing, route selection, and minimal friction loss across complex or sloped terrains.

So while electricity is so ingrained into our lives that we can take it for granted and hardly notice it’s there, if there’s an electrical problem, it can be difficult to notice anything else.

Trenching, Pipe Laying & Jointing

Civil crews systematically excavate and install pipes using durable, industry-approved materials suited to soil conditions and operating pressures.
  • Trenching and bedding preparation to protect piping from ground movement and heavy surface loads.
  • Precision installation and fusion jointing of High-Density Polyethylene (HDPE) and Unplasticized Polyvinyl Chloride (uPVC) pipes.
  • Installation of gate valves, air-release valves, check valves, and washouts along supply corridors to facilitate pressure control and maintenance.

Elevated & Ground Storage Infrastructure

To maintain steady gravity flow and system pressure, teams design and construct robust storage systems tailored to daily storage needs.

  • Fabrication and erection of structural steel elevated towers for overhead storage tanks.
  • Reinforced concrete plinths and ground-level storage reservoirs for high-capacity holding requirements.
  • Integration of float level controls and automated inlet valves to prevent overflow and maintain supply levels.

Community Points, Commercial Metering & Tap Stands

Crews build user-end connection points for both bulk users and public distribution.
  • Construction of public tap stands, water kiosks, and livestock watering troughs for community water schemes.
  • Installation of individual customer meters, isolation valves, and service connections for commercial and residential estates.

Pressure Testing, Flushing & Disinfection

Before commissioning, every pipeline network undergoes rigorous quality and safety checks.
  • Hydrostatic pressure testing to detect leaks and verify joint integrity under maximum operational pressures.
  • System flushing to clear silt, debris, and construction residue from supply lines.
  • Chlorination and chemical disinfection to ensure piped water complies with national drinking water quality standards.

Maintenance & Network Upgrades

To protect system lifespan, field technicians perform pipeline repairs, valve servicing, pressure balancing, and system extensions for existing piped water networks.
