Regular maintenance helps identify problems before they lead to equipment failure, power interruptions and costly repairs. KS Hydropower (U) Limited provides preventive maintenance services for power lines and substations through scheduled inspections and line patrols.
Our maintenance teams can carry out foot or vehicle patrols along power lines to identify faults and areas that require attention. Early detection allows damaged or defective components to be repaired or replaced before they develop into larger problems.
Power Line and Substation Checks
During routine checks, our team can identify and assess:
Cracked, damaged or dirty insulators
Damaged transformers
Damaged switchgear
Broken lightning arresters
Substation defects
Line Patrol
Line patrols allow our team to inspect the condition of the power line and identify problems along the route. During patrols, we look for:
Trees down on the line
Broken cross arms
Broken wires
Damaged or broken power poles
Defective components
Hot or weak spots on the power line
Regular maintenance provides an opportunity to address these issues early and help maintain the condition of the power infrastructure.
Scheduled Maintenance
KS Hydropower can provide regularly scheduled maintenance based on the needs of the project. Our approach is to inspect the line or substation, identify areas requiring attention and carry out the necessary repair or replacement work.
We can also provide maintenance under a customer service agreement, allowing scheduled inspections and maintenance to be carried out over an agreed period.
Our preventive maintenance services are intended to help clients reduce avoidable downtime, identify faults early and maintain their power infrastructure in good working condition.
